Feathers Will Fly

Today was a big day! The Gamecocks played the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers in Columbia. Kevin's cousin, Alex, is a freshman DB for Coastal Carolina (check him out here) so we had a big tailgate crew today.  The McArns and Scearces joined us and helped us celebrate Elizabeth's 40th birthday too!  Judy made huge signs to decorate the tailgate spot. We had an awesome breakfast spread with mimosas, bloody marys, casseroles, fresh fruit, croissants, CHIK-FIL-A biscuits and, of course, cake!  Hope wasn't able to make it :-( but she sent awesome 40th gag gifts for Elizabeth's bday including funky glasses, a special bday glass and a special senior moment sign. LOL

Unfortunately, the game was a bit of a blow out. But we did get to see Alex play at Williams Brice which was super cool. Another highlight of the weekend was getting to spend some QT with my mom and Max since Kevin and I spent the night with them on Friday night. They fed me Pizza Hut. :-) And Kevin had Outback to-go waiting on him when we walked in the door. 

We had a great time with everyone and can't wait to see everyone again at Thanksgiving in just a few days!
